Yuya’s Story

Yuya has traveled all over Japan except for Okinawa, Kagoshima, Nagasaki, and Wakayama prefectures. He learned food culture and tourism by communicating with local people, eating local food, and seeing the sceneries in 43 prefectures. After working for a travel agency, Yuya started his own business in Fukushima prefecture in October 2015, hoping to eliminate “mottainai” (waste) in the world. In March 2016, he joined his friend’s company called Concept Village as an agriculture producer. He currently supports farmers in Fukushima and ryokans (Japanese style hotels) to plan package plans. He also opened an empty house as a weekend cafe in August 2016. He expects to gain more knowledge and information which he can use to encourage farmers in Fukushima, and meet passionate peers to inspire each other through this program
