Ram Pokhrel (IF'08, Nepal) on May 29th, 2008Digital media has been an effective tool for change these days as this catches variety of audience. Different tools can be used for change. But to work for social change is a change either you use this or that tool. BJ Bullert gave us some tips/process to build up documentaries for awareness, build networks, raise funds for projects and make a change.
In regards to my work this is very powerful as this can reach easily to aware even illiterate communities through digital media.

How do you see digital media reaching to your communities? I am especially interested to learn how digital media can benefit from the marginalized folks living in rural communities.

The media explains the situation of the communities and we can share this with larger mass to make them understand the time they are facing. This will help to link the communities with potential resources also.
