Hello,
I’m Yuya Harashina, program associate at iLEAP.
Social Innovation Forum:Japan finished on Jan 21th. I had been involved in this forum as a program associate. This experience is literally valuable for me.
Today, I would like to share my harvests of this forum.
「Logs and space」
Through the forum, not only me, but also every participants realized the importance of having space. This poem give us an opportunity to think about it. →http://www.panhala.net/Archive/Fire.html
When we get nervous (about the future), we usually try new things in order to ease our nerves. And, when new things pile up too much, it causes us to be overwhelmed. It is difficult for us to maintain such space in us because we feel like we need to be doing things, accomplishing goals in order to believe in ourselves. I realized that not only I want myself to have a better balance of logs and space for myself, but also I want to support others to have such opportunity where they can gain new knowledge and experiences as logs and space for renewal.
「Story」
We have many stories through various experience. Each story show us who you are, why you do what you do. They will enable people to inspire and encourage. During the forum, I was always inspired, motivated, encouraged by delegate’s stories. I feel strongly that our stories should be shared, connected beyond countries, ethnic, languages, races, and so on.
「Importance of encounter」
I feel that every encounter gives us new opportunities, new possibilities. Nothing happens without encounters. I really appreciate I could be connected to iLEAP and KARAAGE NigHTS members. I would like to value pieces of encounters that I found and make the connections more deeper and valuable from now on.
「Do what you love, Love what you do」
The surprising thing is that all delegates and all people who are involved in this forum had a strong presence, because they have an confidence in their work and their activities and have a deep understanding of why they do what they do. I think that this must be lead to innovation or next movement.
Thank you for reading.
Y.H
