The Finisher’s Medal my friend and running-mate Su gave me after my first 5K race in Snoqualmie Ridge last year. It was my Philippine-side 41st birthday, the day I ran. The next day, I celebrated my birthday again with four birthday cakes and with people from all over the world. It was a good year, 2011. A lot of learning that year. A lot of breaking hearts, and more spaces created because of the breaking. But more importantly, a lot of baggages were gotten rid of.
