Lynn is a person who appreciates balance. She prefers foods that offer a mix of both sweetness and saltiness; she has enjoyed stretches of time living in both America and Japan; she has pursued a career that has immersed her in both the private and non-profit sectors.

Her work with iLEAP provides what she considers the most valuable kind of professional-personal balance: she can apply her corporate management expertise to further the organization’s mission while also letting her engage with leaders from Japan, where she lived for nearly a decade.

Prior to assuming her current role as an in-house attorney for Microsoft, Lynn worked for the Tokyo office of Morrison & Foerster, LLP, a large international law firm focusing on cross-border technology, commercial and general corporate transactions, as well as previously practicing law in New York and Silicon Valley. A Seattle native, Lynn earned her law degree from New York University School of Law and received her undergraduate degree in English Literature from Barnard College, Columbia University.

A third-generation Japanese American, Lynn is active in U.S.-Japan relations being a member of the U.S.-Japan Council, a fellow of the U.S.-Japan Leadership Program (run by the U.S.-Japan Foundation) and a board member of the Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Washington. Through iLEAP’s Japanese programming, Lynn maintains her ties to Japan by interacting with and nurturing the work of thought leaders and change makers from that country. She thrives on the cultural balance iLEAP creates, enables, and celebrates.
