Senior Advisor & Founding Member
Izumi is a Senior Advisor and Founding Member at iLEAP, where she designs curriculum and facilitates programs. Her particular skill is integrating inner and outer leadership practices, elements of personal development, social change, creativity, and matters of the soul.
Her professional work spans four continents which brings diverse perspectives to her work. For the last two decades, she has worked in a worked as a trainer, facilitator, and coach. Prior to 2006, she worked alongside with healthcare providers in India to build national training centers for HIV/AIDS care as the country director for India, based in Chennai. In 2018, Izumi co-founded Perennial, a leadership training organization that designs and facilitates transformational experiences for social leaders from around the world. Perennial accompanies them on a journey of renewal and helps them to nourish a deep awareness of their true source of love and power.
In addition to working with iLEAP and Perennial, Izumi is a trainer for the Rockwood Leadership Institute where she works with social justice leaders from North America. Izumi has lived and worked all over the world, often in culturally complex and diverse environments. She has been a long-time meditator, and has worked with people from all around the world in designing and integrating their own practices for resilience.
She has a BA degree from the University of Texas at Austin, an MA from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in International Environmental Policy, and holds the certified professional co-active coach (CPCC) designation from the Coaches Training Institute.
